| The park is centered upon Ridgway Reservoir, a 1,000 surface-acre lake, which is stocked with rainbow and brown trout. There are over 2,000 acres of land within the park boundaries. Three recreation sites exist around the lake with a variety of facilities. |

| We were very excited about our trip to stay in a Yurt at Ridgeway but it turned out to be an extreme disappointment. The park has beautiful views but it is right off the highway. The Yurts are not secluded at all. The highway noise was amplified. So much so, that it was the first time I woke up camping with a headache. This park seems to be built for RV and boater convenience. All the sites are paved, etc. It isn't the Colorado we know. It's situated near a resevoir so we should have known. If you're a boater, it could be great; otherwise, stay away. It is not meant for tent campers. |
