St. Louis zoo always seems to have something new coming and being built. Their penguin exhibit is above any I've been to. Their science centers are good as well. I also like the elephant enclosure areas as it feels like they have a lot of space, way more than in the past.
I've been to this zoo a lot of times over the past 20 years and they've always had a nice place and seem to keep up with the new ways to build enclosures. Plus for free you can't beat that.
